The Newstripe AeroVent® 1X punctures and drains used aerosol cans inside an enclosed processing chamber, helping businesses manage pressurised containers more safely. Its sealed design helps contain vapours during processing, while the Safe2Vent™ carbon filter captures potentially harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
Reduce the time spent handling used aerosol cans with a simple three-step process. Load the can, close the lid to seal and puncture it, then wait for the Viz-a-Ball™ indicator to stop bouncing. Once the system indicates that depressurisation is complete, open the chamber and remove the processed can according to the operating instructions.
The Viz-a-Ball™ indicator provides a visible signal that helps operators determine when the system has depressurised and is safe to open. A built-in safety check valve helps keep the drum closed after processing, reducing the release of vapours into the work area.
Keep track of processing activity without manually counting every can. The integrated cycle counter records the number of cans processed, helping you plan Safe2Vent™ filter replacements at the appropriate interval. This makes routine maintenance easier to manage in busy workshops and industrial facilities.
The AeroVent 1X accommodates a range of common aerosol can sizes up to 3 inches in diameter and 9.75 inches in length. Its tray design and quick-change aluminium plugs allow adjustment for different can sizes, making it practical for facilities that handle several types of aerosol products.
Processing eligible aerosol cans on-site can reduce the volume of pressurised containers requiring specialist hazardous-waste handling. Once properly depressurised and drained, cans can be managed for disposal or recycling in accordance with applicable requirements. The AeroVent 1X is designed for low-to-medium processing volumes, handling one can at a time.
The AeroVent 1X incorporates a safety check valve, a visible depressurisation indicator, spark-resistant components and a grounding cable. Newstripe states that the system is compliant in all 50 states and adheres to OSHA, EPA and California regulatory requirements. Always follow the operating manual and verify requirements applicable to your facility and waste stream.
